Dirty Woman !

Yesterday I went to the Raubtier and Pain gig at Gamla Teatern in Östersund.

I was lucky enough to get the chance to photo the bands during the gig

Peter Tägtgrend / Pain

Pär Hulkhoff / Raubtier

I also got my PAIN sketch signed by Peter

This drawing was a gift to my friends in Eastbay Events who organized the gig

After the concert I got backstage, checking out the big guns of Raubtier!

My new video - A cooperation with Porn Queen !!!!

In cooperation with the italian rock photographer Annalisa Russo and my friends from Porn Queen, I have made a new video. This is a speed paint movie based on a photo of Slash, shot during the concert at Arena Civiva in Milan 28 july 2011.

Crank up the volume and check out the soundtrack in this video. The song is called "Leave that bitch" and is from the "Devils Way EP" released this summer. Thanks alot to PORN QUEEN for letting me use this song! :)

The Header

The header on this blog includes pieces of 4 paintings that deserves an own post:

Slash - This picture is made by using ordinary ink markers on paper

Myles Kennedy - a small oil painting (18 x 24)

Sixx A.M. - Another Oil painting. This picture is not quite finished yet, colours will be added to the background.

Last, but not least: Alter Bridge - A black and white Acrylic painting.
This was actually the first canvas painting I ever did for my rock art collection

Happy Birthday!

A small collection of some birthday presents I've created lately...

The first one is a painting I did for Carro's 30 year party. As you probably understand, Carro is a devoted Twilight fan.

The next one is an oil painting of a Yorkshire Terrier / Chihuahau mix. My husbands has a co-worker who wanted to give his girlfriend an oil painting of her dog. The result turned out like this! Happy birthday to you, Jeanette!

At last, my youngest son wanted  dinosaur clothes as a birthday present.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

It's not you - It's me!

Today I give you Todd Kerns, Slash's bass player - who I find quite complicated to draw.

I did two marker sketches of him: one fullsize and one closeup of his face. Both pictures turned out quite well, and I was especially satisfied with the closeup sketch. I got some really nice feedback from Mr. Kerns himself on this work, and it is a great honour for me that he is using my work as his profile picture on his facebook fan-page!

I get so proud everytime Todd publish anything on his FB-page, and it's my picture that pops up in my timeline

These pictures are practise for a big project I have in my mind - a serie of painings with Slash's live band.
Slash, Myles and Todd is nailed! Two to go!

Second Chance

Sometimes you create something, that just doesn't feel right... Like a little something missing to make the work complete... My oilpainting of the guitarist DJ Ashba gave me that feeling. I felt that I had to spice it up with a little extra to improve it...

So I pierced his lip....

He did NOT scream ! :)

Accidents can happen!

Had a little accident, and with one arm in a cast it's hard to write on the blog. But anyway, this time I give you a little something that still has wet paint on it... This is my biggest painting so far, and to be honest he scares me a little bit. The Canvas is 80X80 cm, and it is a portrait of Slash.
